I was listening to a podcast on writing while making this page, and I realized it’s easy to slip into a comfort zone when writing characters. It’s easy to write their dialogue in my voice when pressed for time, thereby not taking into account how I want to present and developed their character.

When I look at the story I wrote for a different webcomic it really feel like a lean and cohesive whole, because I wrote and rewrote the whole arc over the course of two years. Off-stage on the other hand sometimes feels a little shotgunned when I’m writing it week to week. So I’m going to spend more time plotting out the story in the future.
